On Tuesday 13th December, Esset Property Management was awarded a silver CUBE at the 6th edition of the CUBE efficient buildings competition organised by the IFPEB, the French institute for building performance.
Esset competed with Icade for the project to reduce the energy consumption of the Hyfive Tower, formerly PB5. Our management teams led cutting-edge energy performance projects, working with the tower’s occupant to reduce the site’s consumption by 18.3% - the equivalent of 958,731 kWh!
“As well as meeting the environmental and budgetary challenges associated with energy consumption, the CUBE competition showcases our expertise to our clients and highlights our added value.”
The CUBE competition is an annual challenge designed to encourage owners and users of commercial buildings to reduce their energy consumption. Over 250 buildings register for the CUBE every year.
The Hyfive teams’ main actions:
- optimising timer schedules,
- improving control loops (BMS),
- changing setpoints,
- optimising technical installations (HVAC/power cabling),
- raising awareness amongst tower occupants.
